    So just how important is Omega-3?

    A recent study concludes omega-3 deficiency is the sixth biggest killer of Americans! According to this study, omega-3 deficiency is more deadly than excess trans fat intake, causing 96,000 US deaths per year. Harvard researchers examined a variety of dietary, lifestyle and metabfefolic risk factors, one of which was omega-3 deficiency. A mathematical model was used to determine how many fatalities could have been prevented with various interventions. Because omega-3 deficiency is classified as a risk factor for death, it’s easy to see why supplementation with fish oil, a healthy diet and lifestyle are so incredibly beneficial.
